CENTRAL JAVA
 Is the cultural hearthland of Javanese culture. With smoking volcanoes, verdant rice fields, historical cities and town and heritages sites of international importance. It contains something for everyone.
While Jogjakarta gets most of the attention from tourist, the smaller town Semarang is not to be missed. It’s old town contains centuries-old Dutch and Chinese buildings.
Further afield is Mount Merapi, which had minor eruption in 2006.
